“What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.”
YOU’VE SEEN ENOUGH
There are some things we simply cannot keep to ourselves.
Good news has a way of finding our mouth.
We tell people about the restaurant they need to try.
The movie they need to watch.
The accomplishment we’re proud of.
The thing we’re excited about.
We naturally talk about what has affected us.
Yet somehow, what Jesus has done can remain unspoken.
Jesus told His disciples that what He revealed privately would eventually need to be proclaimed publicly.
Darkness → Light.
Ear → Housetop.
Private → Public.
Maybe you’ve been waiting for a bigger testimony before you start telling people about Jesus.
But think about what you’ve already seen.
You’ve seen Him provide.
You’ve seen Him keep you.
You’ve seen Him restore.
You’ve seen Him bring you through things you weren’t sure you would survive.
You don’t need another testimony before you testify.
You’ve already seen enough to say something.
What Jesus did in you may become the evidence somebody else needs to believe He can do it for them.
REFLECT
What is one thing I have personally seen Jesus do that I rarely tell others about?
Who might need to hear it?
TODAY’S STEP
Write down one thing you’ve seen Jesus do.
Don’t make it complicated. Just identify the evidence.
Then thank Him for it today.
Before you can tell your testimony, remember that you already have one.
PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for everything I have seen You do in my life. Forgive me for the times I have allowed Your goodness to remain unspoken. Open my eyes again to the evidence of Your faithfulness and prepare my voice to tell others what I have seen. Amen.
